The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) has established guidelines for OHS programs to be implemented in all organizations, which includes standard definitions, processes, and data logging to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
However, many organizations face challenges when it comes to implementing these guidelines. Some rely on manual paperwork, which can lead to delays in decision-making and action-taking. Others use different tools to manage their OHS programs, but struggle to meet their objectives due to a lack of integration. These challenges are particularly pronounced for larger organizations with more employees.
As a safety consultant, our client recognized these challenges and sought to address them with an integrated automation solution. MAXIMESS worked closely with the client to develop and implement this solution quickly and efficiently using an agile development approach.
To adhere to the safety implementation standards outlined by ISO, organizations must maintain records of various floor incidents, such as near misses, unsafe actions, and unsafe conditions. Relevant data must be collected and acted upon, and complex multi-department workflows must be managed.
The product simplifies this entire process for organizations. The mobile app makes it easy for employees on the floor to log incidents with just one click, and the data is automatically collated and processed. The safety officer can monitor the safety situation of the organization in real-time through an infographic report. The product enables users to track each process from start to finish, coordinating each step across different departments. Additionally, the increased accessibility to reporting and metrics improves awareness and connectivity with stakeholders. By eliminating tedious paperwork, the product fosters a culture of action-oriented safety in the organization.
The whole solution was developed in multiple sprints with agile approach. Initial sprints involved modules like – incidents and near-miss, site observations, inspection, and meeting management. This allowed us to develop the solution in a evolving manner and with the focus on meeting the client's specific business needs.

In further sprints, client looked-for a mobile tool for Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) approvals, change management and incident reporting - a Health & Safety Mobile App was a perfect fit as it eased client reporting mechanisms and enhanced data transfer, making them faster and efficient.
The product offered several benefits, including critical information tracking, on-site incident and near-miss tracking, and more efficient reporting mechanisms. Ultimately, MAXIMESS was able to create a customized solution that addressed the client's unique challenges and fostered a culture of safety and efficiency within their organization.
